Hello, I received an xls document from a friend using Windows and when I open it, it seems to open ok but then I cannot drag the window around or resize it using the resize handle or by click the green button in the upper left corner of the window (I click on the button and nothing happens). Other documents seem to be ok, but this document exhibits those issues, described above. My associate has no problems opening and using the document on her end, and we have tried transferring the document via both flash drive and email to make sure that there was no something lost in translation. I have tried resaving the document as an xlsx file and that changes nothing.
Using Excel 2008 12.1.1
Is this a file corruption issue or a program issue? Would there be any way to repair the file if so? Any help? Thank you!

update: I just tried installing NeoOffice and the document seems to open/resize/drag/etc just fine using that. Of course, the goal is to make it work in Microsoft Office....any suggestions?

Is this a file that you would be willing to send to me? If so, email me
directly (toddaton@microsoft.com).
