Hi,

This is a strange one. If I double click on a saved Excel 2003 workbook, it
takes ages to open. If I open Excel then select the workbook, it loads
immediately.

Has anyone any ideas on this one?

Well, this is the Mac Excel group, so unless you're dbl-clicking it on a Mac
your problem is probably Windows specific. Even if you *are* on a Mac nobody
can offer anything meaningful without knowing what OS version & Excel
version you're using. If on a Mac give us the details we need including what
happens when you try, if not have a look here for the PC Excel groups:

Sorry, this is the first time I've used the forum. Going over to the correct
group now.
