In Excel for Mac when I move to a cell, the color surrounding it is a very light blue. It is very hard to see. Is there a way I can change it to another color?

XL takes it's highlight color from the System highlight color.

Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu. In the Appearance pane,
choose another color from the Highlight Color dropdown (or choose Other
and select a custom color). Close (if necessary) and reopen XL.

The color will apply system-wide.
