HYPERLINK issues

How come when I format cells to hyperlink I have to cut and past the link
into
the top field ³link to² when you right click.

Additionally I save the document and then close it then reopen and all the
hyperlinks
do not work because the top field link to is now blank.  This never happened
in Office 2004?

The only workaround for this (currently) is to save the spreadsheet in
the .xlsx format.

Saving as .xls blows out the hyperlinks.

Hopefully, they'll be releasing a 12.0.2 updater sometime soon to
address this.

My document is a XLSX format and this is still occurring?

Not sure.  I'm not seeing that here (somebody pointed out the problem
saving as .xls to me earlier this week, so I tried a blank file and
saved something as .xlsx and that stuck for me.)

But a blank file saved as .xls didn't stick (and there's an error when
you open that file indicating that.)

I do have the same problem. I've saved my file as a XLSX, and it still doesn't save my hyperlinks...

What can I do about it??

The best thing is to keep checking Mactopia, and make sure autoupdate is set
to update automatically.

thanks!

and I already found the answer!
You shouln't use 'space' in the names of your wanted links. Use underscores or nothing, keep it one word, otherwise it won't be recognised!

Yes despite Windows and Unix proponents saying that they can resolve
Space like the Mac can neither does. If you need to create links that
would work fine on a Mac but are creating  html pages and links for UNIX
and Windows Folks to use use underscores.
