I can't "select visible cells only" in this new version of excel. I used to use the customized button added to my toolbar in the old excel to perform this task. I do this when I have a bunch of columns or rows hidden and I only want to copy and paste the visible cells (ignoring the hidden ones) into a new file.

How do I do this!!

I want to copy and paste visible cells only!

One way:

  Choose Edit/Go To.../Special/Visible Cells Only.

another:

use the default keyboard shortcut: CMD-Shift-z

another:

Choose View/Customize Toolbars and Menus..., Click Commands. Select
Edit from the Commands listbox. Scroll down in the Commands listbox
to "Select Visible Cells". Drag the icon to a toolbar.

The latter's probably what you had set up in "old excel"
