Each time I open an EXCEL workbook in Office 2003, i get this message:
"System Error. H80004005 (-2147467259). Unspecified error" and then
"Compile error in hidden module. Thisworkbook"
Is there an easy way of rectifying this, please?

This a Macintosh news group. I suggest you go to google groups and search
for "compile error in hidden module." I'll bet you'll find the solution
there.

Hi,

Sounds like the excel is damaged or something, I think you can try a utility
called Advanced Excel Repair to repair your Excel xls file. It works rather
well for my corrupt Excel xls files. Its web address is
http://www.datanumen.com/aer/

Hope this helps.

Alan
