How does Project Gallery (PG) "know" what files you've opened? I noticed that PG's list is not the same as the list of files under Files. I think that it is because some of the files were opened from either Finder or Spotlight and some were opened from the office program's File/Open command and only the latter are included in PG's list. Is that correct? If so, is there a way to have PG track all of the opened files, not just those open from within the program? Alternatively, is there another way to track what files Excel or Word have recently opened so I can select from a list? I work with a lot of files from different projects that are in different sub/sub/sub/sub/ subdirectories and I find recently opened lists an easier way to find and open the files I want. Thanks. I rarely use the PG recent files list, but in Leopard (OSX 10.5.1), at least, opening from File/Open, the PG, Finder or Spotlight cause the files to appear on both the MRU List (under the File menu) and in the Recent pane of the PG. I remember it *not* working that way, but I don't recall which version(s) of OSX and Office that was. Thanks. I'm using Leopard 10.5.1, so that shouldn't be an issue(?). I'm also using PathFInder from Cocoatech instead of Finder. I'll play around with it some more and see if there is a difference between Finder and PathFinder. |
