I've been trying to use the solver function in excel and ive been
scouring the internet for solutions but cannot find one yet.
I have office 2004 11.2.3 on a well equipped mac with os 10.3.9. I
checked the add-ins folder (Office 2004>Office>Add-Ins) and I have
Solver Library and Solver.xla in the folder. When I go to Tools>Add-
Ins in the Excel program, I don't have any option to click solver.
I appreciate your help.

Hello,
my solver paced in Addins folder is load automatically. How I know
that? Go to tools>addins>select>navigate to Office 2004>Office>Add-Ins
and pick the solver.xla and Excel will tell you. That's why it's not
listed. When I want to use the solver I go Tools>Solver... Directly
in the tools menu (no in the adins).
Did you know, you can update your office to 11.3.4?
Just do help>check for updates or follow instruction in here

Solver is designed to be loaded when you choose Tools/Solver...
