How to get rid of the pop-up format menu

When I copy and then paste something I get that little pop-up menu with
formatting options, like:
Keep Source Formatting
Match Destination Formatting
etc.

This is really annoying when it covers a cell you want to click in.

Is there a way to not show these or at least move them?

Actually, I find it rather convenient at times. Do as JE suggests if
you wish, but as an alternative you can keep it active without the
annoyance if you keep a couple things in mind:

A) It only expands the menu if you actually *click* the button and B)
the button only covers a small portion of cells adjacent to where you
paste. You can click those cells a bit more precisely, or better yet,
use the keyboard (Return, Tab - either with Shift to go the opposite
direction, or Up/Dn/L/R Arrow) rather than clicking.
