Why don't the F keys work in excel mac, and some of their functions. I
got somewhat used to doing CTRL-U instead of F2 although the benefit of
using two fingers rather than one escapes me, but i am even more
frustrated about the inabilty to paste name by using the key F3 while
in formula editing mode (after an operand - it works just after the =
sign but not after + * / or ^); isn't that the typical place where
people would paste a name?

Does anyone know a way to fix this or another key combination for
pasting names?

Unlike WinXL, you can assign nearly any keyboard shortcut to the
Insert/Paste command (Tools/Customize/Keyboard...). You won't however,
be able to use it after a math operator, AFAICT.
