Hello--Just installed Eudora 6.1.1 (Light version) on OS 10.3.5, and
can't find the Balloon Help feature. Is this no longer supported? TIA.

Balloon help is not supported on OS X, alas. OS X does have "tool tips"
but these aren't supported by Eudora, as of yet, AFAIK.

Bummer, but thank you for your reply. I was hoping to use Balloon Help
to identify a mailbox column that wasn't present in the previous version
of Eudora that I used (4.3.3 Light), but is in 6.1.1. This new column
appears between the Message Status and Priority columns. The icon at the
top of the column is so small on my screen that I can't tell what it is.
I could find no explanation/description in the Eudora manual. What is
it? Thanks.

I don't know which columns you mean , because I have 6.0.2 version,
but...

You can enlarge each column : put the cursor just between two columns
(but not on the titles-bar) and it transform itself in drawer you can
use for enlarging.

You can also select which columns are displayed in your mailboxes :
Special --> Settings --> Mailbox Display ---> Columns

I had never really looked at that icon, but I think it must be a can of
spam...with the lid curled back. The spam is gone....

Since some 80% of the mail that I get is Spam (nearly 10000 spams this
year), and Eudora's Spam filter is 94% effective at getting rid of it, I
find Eudora's spam filter quite wonderful.

Nope, I'm convinced it's a can of sardines or anchovies.  (Spam comes in
a tall can.)  I think it's a sort of a pun - junk/spam/fishy/probably
smells bad.  ;-)
