Issues on Overwriting Eudora Light 5 with Eudora Light 6

I overwrote Eudora Light 5 with Eudora Light 6 several months ago. It
went easy. But, I recently learned that I seem to be missing some
options (namely, the ability to disable Port 25 and change it to port
587), so I overwrote it again. Still missing this option, at least as
far as I can tell. Anyone know something about this?

Second, when I tried to compress Eudora 5, I found out that I couldn't
run Eudora 6 without it. Is this right?

I did it as a full install of 6.1 over 3.1.3. It went fine.

Have you opened the 6.1 Eudora.app (ctrl-click) and moved Esoteric
Settings from 'Plugins Disabled' to 'Plugins' (there are other ways to
do this, but I like to use a plain spanner).

In Settings you'll then get 'Ports and Protocols'. Maybe that's what you
want?

No. Certainly my 6.1 lives on its own.

You don't have the esoteric settings plugin installed. Are you using MacOS
X or 8/9?

No. What kind of an error message do you get when you try?
