history list not working

I have just installed Eudora v 6 on a Mac OS X and imported from a laptop.
All that worked fine - there's just one niggly problem and that's that the
history list does not work.

I have ticked the box to expand nicknames, but Eudora is not remembering any
addresses previously typed in. I cannot see any other settings regarding
this - any ideas?

- new to Macs and Eudora!!

Look in a list of x-eudora-settings, there are several that adjusts the
behaviour of the history list.
