Keyboard shortcut for Filter Messages?

This is very strange.  I can use OSX 10.3.3's Keyboard Shortcuts (in
System Preferences) to assign key combos to nearly any Eudora 6.1 menu
item -- they even show up in the menus -- but not to "Filter Messages".
Does anyone have any idea why this might be?  Alternately, can anyone
get it to work?

I miss my command-J....

yeah, I tried it too, and it didn't work. I suspect it (Eudora) is doing
something unusual in relation to the Cmd-J option which prevents this
from working.

Why not do what I did: assign it an F-key on the toolbar.

Hmm...sounds intriguing.  How does one do that?

First, in Settings->Toolbar, make sure the Function Key settings are
both checked. Also, make sure Show Toolbar is checked.

Then, just Command-click on any toolbar "slot". If the slot is already
empty, you don't even need to hold Command.

A popup will appear, directing you to choose the menu command you want
to assign to the slot.

Ah -- I was confused for a bit, but I see that this only works in Paid
or Sponsored mode.  Thanks, though.
