Junk and IMAP

I looked around at groups.google.com and realized that the Eudora 6
betas didn't support junk filtering  of mail accessed through IMAP,
however I thought this was fixed with the release of Eudora 6?

Anyway, I just got a new IMAP-account and as far as I can tell, the two
first mail I received there got a (low - they where not spam) junk score
but since then no other mails I have received seems to have been
analyzed for junk.

Does anyone know if junk filtering should work with IMAP - and if that
is the case, what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

When the first Eudora 6 beta was released, Junk filtering worked on my
IMAP account. At some point, they stopped supporting *certain* IMAP
protocols, but it's back again in 6.1. It's working pretty well at this
point, but SpamAssassin stops a lot of my spam at the server level.

Your IMAP server has to support UIDPLUS.

Ours here doesn't, so Junk filtering doesn't work at all with Eudora
under IMAP.

Luckily, "Brightmail" catches a lot of spam, so we can set up a filter
for IMAP users.

It is an Exchange (not my responsibility…) server I connect to, do you
know if they support this?

I believe Exchange servers have UIDPlus as part of their IMAP spec, but
don't quote me on this.

If the IMAP server *doesn't* have UIDPLUS, Eudora gives you an error
message about it when you try to set up Junk mailboxes, etc...

What do you mean by 'set up junk mailboxes' etc, isn't this mostly an
automatic process? Can I redo this process to verify the existence of
UIDPLUS?

Sorry for my last message. I have verified that it indeed supports
UIDPLUS:

% telnet mail.mimer.kth.se 143
Trying 130.237.17.14...
Connected to bestla.mimer.kth.se.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 IMAP4rev1 server version 6.5.6944.0
(bestla.mimer.kth.se) ready.
1 login abc 123
1 OK LOGIN completed.
2 capability
* CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 IDLE LOGIN-REFERRALS MAILBOX-REFERRALS
NAMESPACE LITERAL+ UIDPLUS CHILDREN
2 OK CAPABILITY completed.

but Eudora's junk filter still does not work. Why? It works with other
IMAP accounts I have as well as with the only POP-account I use.
