I¹m using OS X 10.3.2 and Eudora 6.0.2.
Under the Eudora menu->Services->Search->Google shift Command >. All one
is supposed to do is highlight a word and press Shift Command > and a
Google searc will be performed. Except it doesn't work. If the menu is
used a seach will be performed and another search can be performed just
using the key stokes providing it's in the same message. Open a new
message and the menu needs to be used.
This seems to be a Eudora problem since it works fine in TextEdit and
TexEdit Plus.
Any ideas?

Works fine for me so it may be a problem local to your computer.
Note, my menu says Shift Command L not Shift Command > and I just
noticed it is Eudora->Services->'Search with Google' shift Command L
