(1) I had the impression that the Link History feature was part of the
Sponsored Mode, though I could be mistaken. If so, then I can't see how
you could possibly disable it except to pay. At the same time, if I'm
right, I don't see how your Link History Folder could be empty unless
you're somehow not getting ads. And if you'll check past articles in
this group, you'll see that this can lead to some nasty consequences.
(2) On this one, visit your Settings and look for the Address Book item.
I'm reasonably sure that those extra History List files are the result
of using the "Backup address books" feature, which you can turn off
there. This essentially prevents them from ever getting created.

I bought Eudora. I am not in sponsored mode. Please explain to me how
to disable Link History.

Your solved problem number two, the email History List problem. Thank
you very much.

I think this x-eudora-setting will help. Paste the link into a new
message in Eudora and command-click on it to access the setting dialog
box.
<x-eudora-setting:297> When checked, Eudora will maintain a history of
recently clicked URLs.©© Setting reversed; use "n" for ON, "y" for OFF!
