I have Eudora 6 in both OS 9.2.1 and OS 10.1.5.  The Eudora version in
OS 9 inserts graphics into an outgoing message field normally.

I cannnot get the OS X version to allow insertion of graphics either
through the "Message>Attach Document" menu or throught the
"Edit>Text>Insert Graphic" menu.  Both lead to a dialog box in which one
can choose the desired jpg file and in both cases the "Attach" button is
active but the "Insert" button is not.
I can only insert graphics into the outgoing messae text field by drag
and drop from the finder (again, this is for OS 10.1.5)

I have checked and compared the Eudora 6 "Settings" under both OS and
can't find a problem.

Any ideas?

same here
updated to Eudora 6.0.2 from Eudora 6.0.1 in Mac OS X 2.8 now there is no insertion
command to insert document in message

the attachment menu command and file window attachment button function however no where
is there an insert button
only can drag and drop image into message

insert command was available in Eudora 6.0.1 in OSX 2.8

regarding Eudora 6.0.2, running under Panther (10.3.2):

on: http://www.eudora.com/download/eudora/mac/6.0.2/Release_Notes.txt,
you can read:

but hey: the "attach"-button _is_ re-enabled under Panther, but it comes
with a price: the "insert"-button seems to be gone for good (not even
longer greyed out) -- drag&drop works, and, as Critz mentioned, you can
choose: "Edit>Text>Insert Graphic" -- BUT: no shortcut! nothing in the
cmd-h-dialogue! I guess this is a bad move. I consider this a downgrade.

best, giorgio
