Can't find correct settings

When Eudora opens, all its settings are wrong and it does not display
the most recent
new messages in the In box.
I must go into the Desktop, Documents, and Eudora folder to click on
Setting backup.
Simply resetting the Settings does not cure the problem.

Quit Eudora and delete your settings file. Rename the Settings Backup
file to Settings. Relaunch Eudora. A new backup will be created on
launch.

Eudora folder should be in Documents, not Desktop/Documents.
