I don't understand html email but when I get some emails and the Eudora
icon indicates I can Open in Browser and I do that..... I don't get the
full email. I get the text but then usually there are some question mark
boxes.

However, if I have the sender send the same email to my gmail account
and open from my Gmail account while in the browser all works fine.

Hope I'm explaining this clearly.

Any education on these html emails and how to see them fully with Eudora
is appreciated.

Thank you.

PS: I'm running Mac OS 10.4.10 and Eudora 6.2.3.

Are you online when you get the question mark boxes?

In some cases the html in an email may refer to items only available
online. If you look at the email in gmail you, of course, are online.

I am always online as I am on ADSL and the "open in browser" always
works for me.

Cheers,

Darrell

To reply, substitute .net for .invalid in address, i.e., darrell.usenet6 (at)
 telus.net

I'm not sure of your specific setup, but I'm using Eudora 6.1.1 in OS
10.3.9, with Firefox as the default browser, and with an always-on
connection via an ADSL router-modem. And if, with the email open in
Eudora, I 'Open in Browser' from the 'File' menu, it always displays the
HTML email correctly. However, it may take a few moments to fetch the
associated image files, and if for some reason the connection has been
interrupted (never, using ADSL, but certainly if I'm accessing my mail
provider via modem and I'm disconnected) it will display the mail as you
describe it.

In Eudora's preferences look under "Fonts & Display" for "Automatically
download HTML graphics" - is it ticked? If not, check it and see if that
helps.

OP back.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll change the preferences to see if that
works.

On other suggestions/questions, I'm online when reading email and using
Safari.

Thank you.
