Mac Eudora to Windows Eudora: losing recipient names in OUT.mbx

I've created new mailboxes, and copied all my business emails over to
new IN and OUT mailboxes (with different, names). The remaining emails
are personal emails and the IN and OUT mailboxes remain on the Mac
with those personal emails only.  I transfer the new MP-IN.mbx with
the business emails via Fetch to an FTP server, using ASCII (text)
conversion. I download the files from the FTP server to the PC using a
PC-compatible FTP client into a new folder and these  then  open
perfectly in the Eudora for Windows in that computer.

However, when I do the same process with the business emails from the
OUT mailbox, transferring them to a new MP-OUT.mbx, the resulting
mailbox display (before FTP'ing) shows all email info in italic
script. The info is complete and correct, but in italics. (!)   When I
transfer this new MP-OUT.mbx mailbox via Fetch and the FTP server,
downloading to the PC via the PC-compatible FTP client, all the
recipient names are gone and are replaced with the sender's name (my
name)!!

Does anyone know how I can move the MP-OUT.mbx emails to the PC
without losing the recipient names? HELLLLPPP!

PS:  I'm moving 26,000 emails in total, needed for evidence in a
lawsuit.  I'm wanting to put them on PC so they can easily be read, as
no one involved with the case is using a Mac. Thus the conversion to
PC.  Also, I am putting them on CD's that are supplied with Hexalock's
Copy Prevention burned in, thus making the data non-copyable, only
viewable. This only works on PC's. So again, the need to send the
emails to a PC prior to burning them to CD.

As long as the mailbox name is *not* Out.mbx Eudora will show the
sender's name. Either rename the file, or if you don't want to replace
the Out box, Transfer your mails from MP-OUT to Out (inside Eudora.

Seems like renaming to Out.mbx is the easiest way.
No Out box to replace, right ?

I recommend Macs to my friends, and Windows machines
to those whom I don't mind billing by the hour

Many thanks, Anders: I think I tried that, based on some reading at an
interesting site (http://duramecho.com/ComputerInformation/
HowToCorrectEurdoraMboxImportWho.html)...I tried to rename the
transferred part of OUT as "SentMP" and "SentMail" but had the same
result.

I think it's due to taking only a part of the original OUT and giving
it a name in a new mailbox. I think I need to take ALL of the original
OUT mailbox (business + personal emails), do the FTP to the PC, then
use a copy  I keep on the Mac to restore my personal emails to the
original OUT, and delete the personal emails that transferred to the
PC with the renamed original OUT.mbx. Or something like that.  It all
seems to be related to the .toc files, which do something to 'index'
the sender names....the "to" and the "from"....quite confusing to me,
a real amateur at understanding such things.

I'll keep trying, and thanks again!

Doesn't Changing Status do the trick for you? After the transfer. This
procedure works for me on a Mac and I assume the Windows version is
alike.
Message/Change/Status/(choose)Sent
That will change your name to that of the recipients in italic.

At least if I understand you correctly. If I have a sent message in the
Out box it has the recipients name but not in italic. If I sort the
message to another mailbox the name stays but is displayed in italic to
differentiate from the incoming messages from the same person.
From what you describe I assume that although the name is OUT it is just
another mailbox. Next to that one I guess you have a box Out.

Extra:
What I did to simplify the procedure is adding an extra button to the
(vertical; ony icons) toolbar. You'll get a button with the green V (on
a Mac and I assume with Windows as well). That helps reducing the
mouse-movements hugely.

What I found when doing the same thing after selecting all, it seemed
not to work quite well. Doing it in chunks worked for me.

Before you start be wise to sort first at Size or something. If the
sorting is done at Who the changed status will send the message away
immediately and then you'll have a lot of trouble, scrolling up and down
to find the last unchanged.
