This answers some of the long-standing questions that people have had as
to exactly what the Penelope project was doing -- just an add-on to
Thunderbird? or something more? Sounds like the answer is, "something
more."

Not much.
The application package is TBird with Penelope installed and Eudora
iconage.
It works *worse* than the last last pass I made at TBird, so I'm
wondering if the packaging is problematic.
