Eudora 6.0.2 (yes I know it is old but procrastinated too long to upgrade) and Mac OS 10.4.8 Have been using gmail instead of one of my ISP to check mail and now dropping that ISP and switched the "dominant " to the check mail on gmail instead of the ISP - previously had the gmail set up to check on manual checks and the dominant was not used. On manual checks the gmail personality still works, but when check for dominant (set up for gmail), says checking mail and nothing happens. Since I still have the ISP, put that info into dominant and works. I've copied and pasted the info from the gmail personality to dominant to avoid typos. How to get the dominant to work to check mail. It seems it has to do with google's gmail. Can use all the other POP accounts, but not any of the google accounts and when try to add a different google account, that does not work, but can stop and start the POP on the already established google personalities. So google does not work as dominant and cannot add even new google personalities - think the problem may be with google. |
