Attachments problem

Text attachments I send from Eudora on my Intel iMac are having
carriage returns inserted into the document at the end of lines. This
is a problem when those returned weren't intended.

If I send those same attachments from my old G4 Mac -- same version of
Eudora (6.2.4)-- it doesn't happen. The document comes thru just as it
was sent and no extra carriage returns.

If I send those attachments with Apple Mail on the iMac, no returns
are added and the document is received as intended.

The Eudora settings for both Macs are identical.

Any fixes for this?

I find that this sometimes happens with my posts to this or other
newsgroups. There seems to be no rime or reason for it. IMO, it's  a
server side problem. Some servers see a line length (or word wrap) tag
of some sort, and insert hard returns, and some don't. (I've set the
line length (wrap) at 72 characters.)

That's my guess, anyhow.

Which line endings, or newlines, do the attachments have. Mac, Unix, or
DOS?
