Anyway, I tried it with all 19 of my personalities, and none generated a crash.

Maybe it depends on what system and hardware you're using. I'm on a G4 with OS 10.4.8.

The crash log (.../Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Eudora.crash.log) reports:
'Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)'

But given that it crashes for all of you: I'm in fact running 6.2.4b6. I always thought that was the exact same as the final 6.2.4. Maybe it isn't...

I don't know what "test settings" is supposed to do for me so I probably won't miss using it.

If I want to test that, well -- I'll do a check and a send! I have much more faith in that in any case.
