Eudora 6.0 for Mac question

Hi all,
Looking for clarification.
I am using Eudora 6.0 on a Mac Intel Mini.  OXS 10.4.8

When I send an attachment: video or picture, the recipient receives 2
files.  The 1st file is small, usually only a few kb.  2nd file is full
size.  This extra file that is sent confuses people, me too.

Example:  sending a movie to a friends gmail account.  1 file sent, 2
files received.  Any settings on Eudora I can change to fix this?

Thanks.

First, I recommend getting the latest (=last) version, 6.2.4.

The small file in either the resource fork or Finder metadata. It's
perfectly normal Mac specific information and should normally be ignored
on the receiving end unless that's a Mac, too. Webmail accounts like
gmail at notoriously bad at handling attachments in general and Mac
specific multiple attachments in particular.

Yes. Go to Settings -> Attachments and change from "AppleDouble
("MIME")" to Uuencode data fork. This is not recommended (I think) and
any mac specific information *will* be lost. If you can live with that,
change it, else tell your friends to ignore the metadata file.

Anyway, Happy new year!
