If they knew how many people outside english region tried Eudora, loved
it, spared all their time to import their settings and gave up when
they figure they are getting/sending junk characters to their
participants/customers...
Unicode is there , anyone could implement it even in Windows 95 ages.
It is nothing but "there is no World outside USA" attitude. I have
right to whine since I sure remember asking Qualcomm for Unicode or at
least international charset (ISO stuff) support in 1997 or something. 9
years...
Of course I will be installing Eudora 7 right away when it ships,
especially after launching a "real" e-mail client as Mullberry/Eudora
and figuring what Apple Mail.app did to my IMAP mailboxes. I was about
to submit report to my shared server admin until figuring it is way
Apple Mail.app works.
No, no messages lost or something. Just... Inbox has Drafts,Sent,Junk
INSIDE it. Hard to believe but true :)
I lost messages while I tried to fix that mess though. Careful...

My IMAP provider purposefully makes the Drafts, Sent, Junk mailboxes
as subfolders of the root INBOX (INBOX.Drafts, INBOX.Sent, etc.). My
entering "INBOX" as the IMAP Path Prefix in the "Advanced" tab of the
account preferences pane, Mail sticks them separately on the mailboxes
pane (e.g. not as subfolders of inbox). Without more, it looks to me
like it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
