Not getting ads

Currently Eudora is not getting any ads, which is a worry as it may stop
sponsored mode working.

I've checked all the suggestions on the Eudora site, but they don't
help. Specifically,

I have the latest Eudora, version 6.2.3. I just downloaded it,
previously had an earlier 6.2.x, and getting the latest version was the
first thing suggested on the site.

I have trashed the items in the Ads folder and emptied the Trash.

I have checked that I can connect to the Eudora ads site.

I have double-checked that all users have rwx permission on the Ads
folder.

It is just possible that there is an issue at the Eudora site, as when I
try to "Find the latest update to Eudora" I am just told that an error
occurred, with the numbers 204, {127:1221}

I am using OS 10.4.7 (latest security update), and all was going well
until today.

Me too for everything you mention. Hope I don't have to revert to light
mode. This has been going on for a few days. I did get one message that
Eudora would revert so I started looking into the above mentioned
remedies and none of them fixed it. I did get an E-fax ad yesterday but
I don't think I've seen any ads other than that one in a few days. I
also get that error message when I try to update to the latest version
(which I already have). I too have OSX 10.4.7.

I'll write and maybe post on the Eudora forum next if this gets worse.

Yes, the E-fax ad is the only one I see, though I have a good few others
in the ad folder. But no new ads have been coming in for a day or so.

So far, I haven't had the warning about reverting to light mode, so
maybe things are still ok.

Ads seem to be working today (Sat 9/9/06), although it did start up
telling me that it wasn't getting ads and that I had to visit the
website even though there was an ad at startup. Let's hope it continues
to get ads.
