Looking for a "one keystroke" method or filter that will auto-add
(auto-copy) the addressee of any outgoing reply message to my address
book -- or even better, to a "whitelist" nickname within my address book
-- if it's not already there.

The default behavior (at least, I'm fairly sure it's default) is to put
addresses to whom you send messages into your history list. An incoming
filter that discards messages that don't intersect with any address book
will zap them as desired. When you rescue something and reply, or send
something to an address not presently in any of your address books, you
automatically whitelist those addresses by sending to them. If you want
the address to become "permanent", you can then move it to some other
address book.

1) Do "Get Info" on the Eudora application in the Finder, expand the
"Plug-ins" section and check in "Esoteric Settings 6.0"
2) Restart Eudora
3) Make an new address book and name it "Whitelisted addresses"
4) Open Settings... -> Junk Extras and write "Whitelisted addresses" in
the felt, and check "Always enable Junk/Not Junk menu Items".
5) Open Settings...-> Junk Mail and check
- "Mail isn't junk if the sender is in address book"
- "Put Not Junk-ed senders in address book"
- "Use cmd-J for "Junk""
Now you can use Cmd+Opt-J for incoming mails to put the sender in the
"Whitelisted addresses"- address book.
