I'm getting so friggin' many headers in my emails, even with full headers turned off and in the preview pane. X-Original-To:, Delivered-To:, X-IP-stats:, X-Abuse-Info:, X-SA-Poll-Id:....... Is there any way to make Eudora JUST show the essential fields? To, From, Date, Subject, Cc, that's it. Appreciate any insight... To control header display, you need the Esoteric Settings plugin, which is a standard part of the Eudora download. If you're using Eudora 6.n, then do a 'get info' on the Eudora app and select 'Plugins'. Enable 'Esoteric Settings'. After starting Eudora, in Special->Settings you should have a 'Boring Headers' panel; in that you can switch off the display of any headers you don't want to see. The default is just about what you want. If you have an earlier version of Eudora, to enable 'Esoteric Settings', move it into the Eudora plugins folder, then restart Eudora. The folder name may be wrong- it's a long time since I got 6.1.1 and I forget... Alternatively, the 'Super Sleek' plugin will do a similar job. Previously quit Eudora and move the "Esoteric Settings" plugin to the "Eudora Stuff" folder. Restart Eudora, open Special > Settings, scroll down to "Boring Headers", you can remove all and replace with the following. The first few letters uniquely determine the headers to be removed, so an "x" will prevent any headers that start with "x" from being displayed. Use more letters if necessary, a single "c" would prevent "cc" as well as "Content-Type..." or "Content-Transfer-Encoding..." etc. This is my favorite set: co de di e i k l m o p r se st th u x SignatureBee Santa Cruz, California |
