I should have done this before but... In your Eudora Folder->Signature
Folder, do you have two files called 'Signature' and 'Alternate'? I have
them in Eudora 6.1.1.
If so, you might be able to delete 'Signature' directly using the
Finder.

Yep, that did the trick. "Signature" was an alias to a non-existent
file. Deleted it and Eudora created a new one. Thanks a lot :-)
