When I try to edit my standard signature (never used signatures in a
looong time) it says "Could'nt read the document" "Signature (-35):
There is no such volume. {39:59}"
The alternate signature works fine.
What can I do the get the standard signature to work?

Try Window->Signatures. Delete your standard signature if it exists
(which it sounds a though it may not) and recreate it.

I thought of that, but I can´t delete the standard signature
(Remove-button is greyed out) :-(

So does it exist? What happens if you simply try to create a new one?

I should have done this before but... In your Eudora Folder->Signature
Folder, do you have two files called 'Signature' and 'Alternate'? I have
them in Eudora 6.1.1.

If so, you might be able to delete 'Signature' directly using the
Finder.

Yep, that did the trick. "Signature" was an alias to a non-existent
file. Deleted it and Eudora created a new one. Thanks a lot :-)
