Any idea what the "tabs" command in the "window" menu does? I can't find
info on the manual or online.

Thanks!

It displays or suppresses tabs at the top of windows- for instance in
the Mailboxes window, or the Address Book.

Have a play; open the Address Book (Cmd-L) and then click on
Window->Tabs and see what happens.

Thanks Peter, I think I got it.

It'd be nice if Eudora really did tabs, ala Safari and (the latest)
BBEdit....
