I know this is going to be a product sale questions maybe (apologies).

currently i have installed student edition and realized it does not have exchange support.My question is what do I need to do if I need to upgrade the same to 'standard'; (I have license for student edition)

There is no upgrade path, but you can contact your vendor or Microsoft and
ask to return your H&S version to purchase the standard version. I'm
guessing if you've used the product for several months there would be less
inclined to offer any returns. BTW, the Standard plus Expressions is cheaper
than the standard.
