Track Changes deletes Author info on save

I have noticed that when I use Track Changes, the balloon showing a change
displays my name, date and time of change. As it should when that option is
selected in Preferences.

However, when I save the document, my name, date and time of the change goes
away, to be replaced by a generic "Author."

Anybody run across this behavior before and have a fix or workaround?

Thanks in advance.

I believe you've posted a Word question in the Entourage newsgroup. Down
the hall, second door on the left: microsoft.public.mac.office.word.
