Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC Email Client: pop Hi, I've successfully created a new sound set which works perfectly. However, every time I reboot the Mac the sound set reverts to the Default one. But, if I just quit Entourage and relaunch it, the sound set remains with my newly created one. Anyone got an idea of what is going on, and how I can get my new sound set to stick? I imagine there is some setting in a file that defaults to the original sound set. I like custom sounds so haven't gotten into sound sets. To me just new mail sound is worthless. I want it to tell me if it's mail from a buddy, a family member, important mail, support mail etc. See this page for using custom sounds with Entourage. You can even create your own sounds or use computer voices to announce your mail. For example, you could have the AppleScript say ³Mail from Dad². I use a combo of sounds and verbal announcements.
