Mac Forum / Applications / Entourage / December 2008"Drag and drop image here" area not working when creating a contact?
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC I am struggling to figure out what I am doing wrong here. Image is a TIFF, although I tried .JPG files as well. I drag the image from the finder/desktop to the drop area on the contact I am creating and nothing happens. Zippo. :( Ideas? > Image is a TIFF, although I tried .JPG files as well. If it works, then it's your database. Rebuild. 2) If it does not work in a new Identity, Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Entourage. If it works in the new User, then it's a problem in your User's account. Just guessing it sounds like a permissions error. Let me know what you find.  SignatureDiane created a new identity and it worked...however I used a different image. I went back to the original image I tried before and it failed again. Just the beep when trying to load the image. I have to think this is a bug somewhere. I have seen other postings about this issue here and elsewhere. there must be something about the file it does not like, but comparing the two images I am not finding much under the hood differentiating them. It's possible that certain file types can't be used in the contact. It's pretty easy to change formats. Have you tried that?
