This is horribly frustrating!!! Why even have the ability to assign categories when they are temporary!? Any way to avoid losing assigned categories???? I am a complete novice this is my first attempt at using a script. I¹ve saved the scripts to my ³Entourage Script Menu Items² folder, but when I go to create the schedule, the ³restore and store event categories² are grayed out (unavailable) so I cannot choose them for my schedule. What am I doing wrong or what have I done wrong in saving the scripts? Could it be a firewall issue? Thx! Barry, Along the same lines, is there anyway to save my Entourage formatting after a rebuild? I can¹t stand viewing all of the columns that the default set up provides...ie., ³conversation², ³size², ³category², ³project². Though once again, after a rebuild, all of these columns are back. I also change the view under ³view/arrange by/show in groups², I don¹t like that view, yet it too comes back after a rebuild. Any cures for this? That's why rebuilding a database sets all these back to the defaults, trashing your possibly-corrupted preferences during the rebuild. And, as Barry says, these are not scriptable to can't be stored and recreated afterwards like categories can. Emails will be ignored. PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using - **2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise. The reason that this happens after a rebuild is because your system treats a rebuild as starting over, it refers back to default settings and you need to assign categories again. > This is horribly frustrating!!!
