Entourage error 4362 when I try to delete a message

The Sent items folder has been behaving very stragely & keeps crashing the
programme. The folder opens & after the 1st few emails the list shows alarge
grey expanse where my messages should be. With a bit of scrolling up & down
the grey area decreases until it only covers 1 email, the same 1 each time.
When i then try & click on this a message box appears which informs me that
error 4362 has occurred. This asks me to click OK, but then keeps on
returning & the programme freezes.
What is happening, does any know please?

This error indicates database corruption. You need to do a rebuild of the
database. If the rebuild does not fix the problem see other solutions to
