I have an important question to ask. Does anyone know how to archive
effectively emails in Entourage as it is done in MS Outlook? I know there
are several applications that claim to archive (I¹ve purchased them all) but
they do not archive Entourage. They end up archiving Mail.app and that
doesn¹t help me with my work email account (which is what I use Entourage
for).

In Entourage 2004, you can use File>Export to create an archive, based on
type, category or project association. It is not as flexible as Outlook's
PST files, but you should be able to easily export and import data this way.
To find out more about this feature, have a look at Entourage's help
function.

Apparently you have purchased the wrong applications...or set them up wrong.
There are several apps that archive Entourage:
Emessage Archiver
Mail Archiver
Entourage E-mail archive
The latter two can be found on VersionTracker.com; I¹m not familiar with
them. The first can be found here:

EMA is a one-man show. I used it for years before I developed my own
FileMaker solution (which I hope to make available as shareware soon, but it
will require FileMaker 7 or 8; I don¹t own the developer version that can
produce standalone FMP apps.
Don¹t be scared by the slow rate of development on EMA¹s beta; the earlier
version works fine.
Two other brute force methods of archiving:
1. Drag mail folders to the desktop, where they get written as mailbox
files.
2. Run the Database Utility to do a compress and backup, which backs up your
entire database. Then, purge out older messages from the active database
(you can always switch identities to the backup copy to retrieve older
messages).
