Hi!

I'm trying to port an application developed for OS 9 in conjunction with an
Oracle Client to the new OS X using Carbon in a Metrowerks Codewarrior
environment.
The new OS X client libraries provided by Oracle are based on Darvin and
come with a libclntsh.dylib library that is supposed to be a shared library.
I'm absolutely unable to find information from Metrowerks or Apple on what
the format of this library is supposed to be in and if and how it might be
possible to link this library into my Codewarrior/Carbon application.

I would be most grateful for any information or link to additional
documentation that might help me to better understand...

Kind regards

It's a mach-o shared library. You should be fine as long as your project
is mach-o (then you will be able to just drag the library into your
project window)

Thank you for your feedback. Would you also know if and how it is possible
to use those mach-o shared libraries in Metrowerks Codewarrior and
especially in conjunction with Carbon ?

Cheers

Like i said, if you're project is Mach-O then you can just drag the
library into your project window (or use the add files menu item)
