Problem with debugging a plug-in

Hello All,

First of all please forgive my ignorance for I am new to developing on
osx.

I am running with osx 10.3 ,codewarrior 8.3 & xcode is installed (for
the gdb debugger).

I am having problems debugging a plug-in (Quark 6.1 Extension) with
codewarrior.  I can break in the debugger and debug a 'hello world'
type app without any problems.

In CW I have set the host application in runtime settings and the
output directory for the plug in to the plug-in's folder.

If I simply run from the CW IDE then quark fires up, the extension
loads & everything appears to be tickety boo.

If I try to debug then a message appears at the bottom of the project
window, 'Loading debugging data for target' and then zilch.  Nothing.
I'm still in the IDE and quark has not fired up.

I have tried various things with the sym file  i.e.  having it open
with breakpoints set, not having it open etc.  Interestingly, if I try
to debug from the sym file window then I get the message 'couldn't
locate the program entry point, program will not stop on launch'.

I would really appreciate any help to get me out of this rut.

Thanks

Tahir

Do a search on quark on Google.com for the
comp.sys.mac.programmer.codewarrior newsgroups.   I'm pretty sure this
comes up kind of frequently and that others have replied.
