I add the Framework from the Project | Add Files menu item. I select the
framework folder (in /system/libary/frameworks) and it shows up in the
Frameworks Tab in CW. Still, I don't get anything if I control-click or
right-click on it. Same for other frameworks in the project, ie System and
Carbon.
I get the same behavior in the template project I used to create this
current project. Do you have a simple project, within which you can get info
on frameworks, that you could send me?
Thanks,
Michael

It behaves exactly the way you describe it for me as well (Mac OS X
10.3.1, CW Pro 8.3). Neither control clicking works nor does the
project inspector show any information for frameworks.

What kind of info would you like to see?

In the project inspector: At the very least the full path and access
path. Right now in 8.3 there isn't a way to tell if a project is using
the 10.2.7 or the 10.3.0 SDK without having to go the the Access Paths
settings pane.

Good point!

As noted does work in CodeWarrior 9, (Reveal in Fnder), there are no
plans to patch CW 8 any more.

You don't see a column that says Version at all?
You don't have an expansion arrow that expands the framework folder?
If you control click or right click on the framework in your project
(not the folder but the ones revealed by expansion) it does not say
reveal in Finder?
Let me knwo if that is not showing for you. I think maybe you are
just trying to treat a framework as if it were a library or a source
file but it is nothing at all like them.

That's the way it works with CW 8.3 -- the contextual menu support for
frameworks is new in CW 9.

OK, I feel less crazy now! :-)
So no contextual menu support - I can live fine without it - but is there
some other way to get info on a framework in a project? The project
inspector doesn't do anything, just comes up blank (whether I select the
framework folder or the object inside it after revealing it).
Thanks,
Michael
