I've let my subscription lapse for a few years, and I'm still a student,
and I'm still running MacOS 8.5 on a Power100. And suddenly I'm starting
to get interested in Java.
Does CodeWarrior still have something to offer me? Has it been
carbonized, or memory or speed requirements expanded or something, or will
it still run on my system?

The newest version requires 9.1.
What is your machine. I have a 7600 running 8.6 and am looking to get a G4
card to plug into the PCI slot???

CodeWarrior 8 requires OS 9.1. To really do modern Java you probably
want OS X with the Java 2 (J2SE) and JDK of 1.4.x All OS 9 and older
can do is Java with 1.1.8 version (quite old).
So basically at the system you have you are just as well with the
CodeWarrior version you have. If you upgrade systems send me an e-mail
at that time.

Any chance I can get the last version to run on 8.5 for a reasonable
price? I think my subscription got as far as a CW Pro Release 2.

Define reasonable. I think we give it away myself. If you are just
doing Java I can look for a CodeWarrior for Java 6 it would be great
for OS 8.5, Drop me a note that was pretty reasonable and we might
still have some around.
