Hi,

I cannot debug with CW 9.6 under my new IntelMac.

I copy my CW 9.6 to my new Mac, install Xcode 2.21 at it, Mac OS X
10.4.5. I can compile with CW, but if I want debugging my code, CW ist
hangging. It does nothing.

Can anybody help?

Thanks Uwe Rasche

As far as I know, you cannot debug non-native code (in your case,
PowerPC on Intel). The same is true with Xcode and gcc if you build a
ppc target.

I want debug only a powerPC code. The author of the GrafikConverter have
no problem to do this with his old powerPC application. For this reason
I try it too.

When MWRon still posted here, it was said that debugging PowerPC code on
an Intel Mac with Codewarrior would be impossible.

I have been told, but cannot confirm, that the latest versions of XCode
can do this.

You can debug a Rosetta application on Intel.  See the Rosetta appendix
of Apple's Universal Binary Programming Guidelines for details.

However, you can't use either Xcode or CodeWarrior to debug a Rosetta
application.

Hope this helps,
Eric

How can you know that unless you know him personally? If you do and
what
you claim is true, why don't you just ask him the question?
