the option for renewing was overlooked in our haste to get this back in
the sales stream. I've asked that this be remedied and hope to have
prices and part numbers and have it available shortly.

I had the same problem a few months ago until I sicced Ron on them, and
then they called back.
Now that the evil Freescale swine are running Metrowerks, it appears as
if no one there cares if another CodeWarrior sale ever takes place
again. Essentially, CodeWarrior is too low a priority for Freescale to
have an actual breathing human to bother with: we are consigned to
web-based sales only. When CW was altogether removed for the x86
technology removal, they didn't seem to be in much of a hurry to get it
back on.
Remember, Metrowerks counts as "Other" in the Freescale lineup.
Freescale ended up with Metrowerks when separating from Motorola in the
same way the last players picked for basketball are chosen. Aside from
Ron, I don't get the opinion that anyone cares anymore. I think some
of them are privately hoping that Xcode just kills CodeWarrior off so
that it is one less thing for them to bother with.

All the decisions for Macintosh tools are made at a Metrowerks company
level. Metrowerks has one core group dedicated to Games Console and
Desktop and Palm tools and they do care greatly as to what happens.
We were over zealous in trying to not announce anything during the
"quiet period" and that gave a false impression of our strategy. Intel
has a saying if you do not define yourself someone else will.

We do not take phone calls for sales any more. You have to purchase via
the web site http://store.metrowerks.com
This should have been conveyed to you when you called. Either you have
an old phone number or I need to fix something.
This has been the policy since January for desktop products and is now
the policy for all Metrowerks sales.
Write direclty to me if you haven't been able to place your order on the
web.
