I do not know what is going on at Metrowerks, but I had to reinstall
CodeWarrior Version 9.3, because it keeps crashing. I asked several
times for an authorization code to no avail. Is there a limit to the
number of times it can be reinstalled, anybody knows?

I've had similar issues.  It seems that once you enter your
registration number, it is stored in some kind of database on the
server so you can't enter the same one again.  The only thing I can do
is keep a back up copy of my license.dat file so that when I need to
resinstall I just use that one.

As an aside, the latest version is 9.4.  Very soon it should be 9.5,
since Tiger is going to be released Friday, and Metrowerks has
committed to supporting Tiger.

Support is terrifically important.  As just an example, recently I
found out that Symantec is no longer supporting Think C 5.0.
With "superdrive" read-errors two critical files have brought
me to a dead-stop.

You just *recently* found out Symantec is no longer supporting Think C
5.0? I can't even remember how many years it's been since Symantec
dropped Think C as a product.

That's a joke, right?

Your humor is a little obscure here...so let me guess...

Since Think C is an old product, unsupported for 10 years now, I guess
you are trying to say that CodeWarrior is old too, and it's silly for
us to expect support from them either?

if you lost your license.dat file when you reinstalled,  write to license@metrowerks.com

and send them your registration number off of the CD and they can send
you a new license.
