CW8 is old.  CW9 is old too?

I know for sure that I have a copy of CS8 from years ago.  Also have CW9--it
even says CW9 on the CD and the app is IDE 1.6.  I have a later CD which I
assumed was CW10 which has IDE 1.7.

Today on this newsgroup I see several people hoping for the future release
of a CW9.

Could someone please explain my confusion?

At some point (i think after codewarrior 12), metrowerks put the number
back to 1 and called it codewarrior pro.

Thanks.

Just did not want to think I was completely confused.
