I just upgraded from CW8 to CW9.  I successfully registered the
software and did the CW9.3 update.

I created my first project and attempted to compile.  Here is
what I get:
Error   : Unable to use the plugin "Metrowerks C/C++". It is licensed
and a valid license key was not found.
No such feature exists
Feature:       MacOS_Plugins_MacOS_Limited
License path:  /Applications/Metrowerks CodeWarrior 9.0/Metrowerks
CodeWarrior -
  /license.dat
FLEXlm error:  -5,357
For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End User Manual,
available at "www.macrovision.com".

What's the problem?

By the way, I got the Mac OS/Win renewal.  The description says, "With
this product, developers can take advantage of developing C/C++
applications that target Classic Mac OS, Mac OS X or Windows operating
systems using a single integrated development environment."

I understood that to mean I would be able to develop Carbon PEF
applications.

Hi George  write to me and copy licensing if you got the Mac and Windows
bundle with both mac and Windows hosted CD's  Apparently some of those
were packaged with wrong registration numbers.

If you purhcased the Mac OS and Windows version renewal ($249 + s/h)
then you did not get the classic and we need to upgrade for difference
in price or switch the Win to Classic whichever you want.

I think however you are the first one, and we can fix that.

What kind of project did you try to create? In particular, what happens
when you make a new C, Mach-O, standard toolbox, application project and
try to compile it?

It sounds like you didn't buy the renewal that you thought you did. My
experience has been that Metrowerks customer support is very good at
handling this kind of problem.
