Pascal compiler?

Hi folks,

I have a very legacy app that needs to be dragged kicking and
screaming into the 20th century (yes, it's VERY legacy).  Let
alone the 21st.  Anyway it's written in Pascal, and ISTR
MW dropped Pascal support back at CW Pro 4 (which I used
to have but lost in a HD disaster, but that's another story...)

Anyway, I have CW Pro 5, 6 and 7 -- is there a Pascal compiler
I can plug in to one of those?

I tried searching MW's site but got buried under blurb and
press releases -- never used my "back" button so much.
I used to be able to find downloads of old products but not
any more.

Tried to log in to the new community forums but kept timing out
-- so right now I'm not very impressed.  But I still need a
Pascal compiler.

Cheers,  Mike.

You can download Carbon Plugins for these from Metrowerks Download page.

Click on downloads  go to the updates and patches box,  scroll down til
you get to CodeWarrior 7  (or 6 or 5)

Aaah  I thought we had this so it didn't time out.  it should be fixed
on Dec 5th (hopefully) but you can read the forums without joining up.

If you can't find the downloads to get it, send me an e-mail and I'll
give you better directions or just  send it to you.

Thanks - this will be a big improvement.

There is a Pascal compiler for Mac OS X that can be plugged into CW Pro
7, see my website <http://www.microbizz.nl/gpccw.html>.

Hi Adriaan, thanks, but you didn't mention that it would set me
back around $US155 -- which I haven't got to throw around.  The
MW plugins are free for owners of those versions of CW.

But I'm puzzled -- how come you charge for something called
GNU Pascal?

Cheers,  Mike.

Write your own if you don't like it.

The command line compiler is free. In fact there *are* people who
appreciate  the immense efforts I put into it. But other folks are
always complaining. I thought you *needed* a Pascal compiler for CW 7,
which isn't a free product either. So, I am really sorry I answered your
question.
