Hey, folks. I've been looking for an answer to this question for a while
now, and I can't seem to find it anywhere, least of all on Metrowerks'
website. If anyone can help me with this I'd be grateful :)

Recent versions of Codewarrior for MacOS are hosted on OSX. While they
can generate code for OS9, that's not what I'm looking for. What was the
last version of CW where the IDE, compilers, etc. were hosted on OS9?

Codewarrior for MacOS Pro 8 will generate CFM PowerPC on Mac OS 9.

Brilliant. That's exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you very much!

CW Pro 7 and 8 have the "Open in the Classic environment" checkbox in
the Finder's "GetInfo" window, CW Pro 9 hasn't. So, CW Pro 7 and 8 can
run on Mac OS X, Mac OS 9 and the Mac Classic enviroment of Mac OS X.
Earlier versions can run on Mac OS 9 and Mac Classic also.

David is right, you can set CW 8.3 to open as classic in finder and it
will run on OS9  but CodeWarrior 9 can neither run in Classic nor Run on
OS 9.  (Although it will generate Classic OS 9 programs and you can run
a included IDE to debug it in Classic).
